We are pleased to invite you to this event (with physical presence and on line attendance), continuing a long-standing tradition of scientific excellence, critical dialogue, and international collaboration.
The 19th International Conference on “Energy and Climate Change” will take place at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) during 12-16 October 2026, in Athens-Greece. The venue for all the events is the Athens University History Museum (16 Tholou street, Plaka) of NKUA, located beneath the impressive rock of the Acropolis-Parthenon. The Conference is to be set under the auspices of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC).
Over the past nineteen years, the conference has established itself as a trusted platform for researchers, academics, policymakers, and professionals to exchange insights on the evolving challenges of energy transitions, climate governance, low-carbon technologies, and sustainable development pathways.
The upcoming edition will bring together leading scholars and emerging voices to discuss:
- Energy and climate policy design at national, regional, and global levels
- Clean energy technologies and innovation
- Climate mitigation and adaptation strategies
- Sustainability transitions and socio-economic impacts
The conference places strong emphasis on high-quality peer-reviewed research, interdisciplinary perspectives, and meaningful interaction among participants from diverse backgrounds and regions.
We warmly encourage you to contribute your work, engage in stimulating discussions, and be part of a global scientific community shaping the future of energy and climate action.
The 19th International Conference on Energy and Climate Change is structured over five thematic days, combining policy dialogue, scientific exchange, and stakeholder engagement, with participation from international organizations, academic institutions, and research networks.
The Conference on “Energy and Climate Change” started as an activity of an EU-FP6 funded project. The 1st PROMITHEAS Conference titled “Energy Investments and Trade Opportunities” in 2008 was a two-day event focused on political and scientific topics.
The 19th International Conference on “Energy and Climate Change” will take place in site and on line.
