Finding Scholarships through the scholarship database!

The DAAD has published its current scholarship offers for the upcoming academic year. The application portal for scholarships starting from 2027 will open on 1 June 2026. A country-specific overview of the available scholarship programmes is provided in the DAAD country list. The links and QR codes included there lead directly to the relevant programme descriptions, including DAAD contact details, application deadlines and information on the application procedure. The scholarship programmes are also available, as usual, in the DAAD scholarship database at www.funding-guide.de.

Application deadlines vary depending on the country and programme and are displayed in the DAAD scholarship database once the relevant country has been selected.

The current monthly scholarship rates are 992 euros for students and 1,400 euros for doctoral candidates. In several programmes, DAAD continues to offer support for ecological sustainability, including the Green Mobility Top Up and, where applicable, reimbursement of CO₂ compensation payments for air travel.
Special personal circumstances, such as illness, disability, childcare or care responsibilities, refugee background or extensive employment required to finance studies, may be indicated in the application form and can be taken into account during the selection process.
